Growing up too fast!

I keep on looking at Nolan and realized that he changed... his face looks different when he was born, can't believe he's just 15 days old and already looks different. It makes me think how fast things happen in our lives. And also how unpredictable life is, each day we have a new challenge and discover something different. That is a reminder that we should treasure and remember every minute of your life, especially with those around you.

Mamae and Papai have been a such a blessing to have around, they are the live example of how much sacrifice parents will go through to raise their children and now i understand what they did and still do for their children. And I'm sure they also think that life went by in a blink of an eye. But at the same time it has been difficult to deal with their personalities and ours. But I want to stand by Lawton's side and become a unity with him and Nono. Working on it...

Smile!

Isn't this a beautiful smile?

Baby on board!

What a week! Our little one finally arrived, he wanted to surprise us and came earlier than we expected... Born in August 5th 2008, weight 9 lbs 5 oz, 21 in., Nolan Benjamin Chiu came to our world. Words can't describe the experience of hearing your baby's cry for the first time. We went through 16 hours of labor, ended up in a C-section due to complications but every single minute was worth it. Lawton was so good to me, using one of his best abilities to serve people. I was very proud of him, I was happy to share this moment with him.
I immediately fell in love with this little guy, he's adorable and cute... and foremost, he's a gift from God. Now I understand the unconditional love of the Father.

What I'm going to miss most about being pregnant is to have a little one moving inside, it's always an amazing feeling to know and feel something is alive inside you and depends on you so much.

I realized that any decisions that both Lawton and I make in our lives it will affect our baby, so it is so important for us to rely on God's voice and wisdom. The other day we were arguing and I could feel Nolan reacting to it, moving a lot inside me, can you imagine that even though he's so small, he already feels these things? Even though he's so tiny, he brought something good for our marriage, the awareness of respecting each other at all times.
